I changed the Spear's animation and stats quite a bit from what you may have seen in earlier versions of this mod. It now takes on the role of the Staff. The Spear has become the quintessential defensive style. It allows you to keep your enemies out of attack range. The downside is that the spear has a very narrow action radius. You will need a lot of room and you can only take on one enemy at a time. Unlike the other weapon styles the Spear does not require focus, which means you can still use it when push comes to shove and all the other weapon styles are no longer available. It might also be quite useful in the beginning of the game, when you're low on focus.
Weapon Style Does not drain Focus Moonlight is a simple, easy-to-learn weapon style. It does less damage than other weapon styles, but it is quick and it allows you to keep your opponents at spear's length. The one aspect that may make it attractive to masters of other weapon styles is, that it does not require Focus.
There's a large enough number of opponents for you to learn that style in combat, but you can also buy this style from Fen Do in Two Rivers.
Weapon Style, Artifact Weapon +25% Damage and +10% Speed Over Basic Spear Style Does not drain Focus This Halberd was made by the blacksmith Tseng. It is much lighter than the common spear and yet its blade is also much sharper.
The Halberd can be bought from Blacksmith Tseng in the Imperial City.
