Drunken Master

Drunken Master

This is a style that I happen to like a lot, so I gave it a lot of love. The biggest problem with this one in vanilla Jade Empire is, that you cannot level it, because it's a temporary style. Now you can. You level it simply by using it. The longer you stay drunk, the more the style will advance. You'll become quicker. You'll do more damage. And your Chi-mode-multiplier will increase. When the game tells you that you've achieved "Delirium", you will have leveled out Drunken Master completely. But those advancements don't carry over, mind you! Switch to another style and they're gone. The next time you switch to Drunken Master, you will have to to start getting drunk all over again. I think you'll find that staying in a single style for extended periods of time is a challenge in itself. Especially since this style needs to be constantly fuelled by drinking more and more wine. Should you stop to drink, you'll find yourself dropping out of Drunken Master before long.

Carrying Wine

The other shortcoming of vanilla Drunken Master is that you always have to have Henpecked Hou in your party to provide wine bottles. That means you cannot use it, where Hou - or other henchmen - cannot follow. I improved on that as well: Now you can buy a bottle of wine from Hou or a host of other merchants at any time and "carry" it with you until you get into another fight. That way you could e.g. use Drunken Master in the Imperial Arena...

If Hou is not in your party, your opponents will drop bottles upon defeat. So, if he's not there to supply you, you will have to defeat one of them every minute or so, or you'll drop out of Drunken Master.
